Premier League Primary Stars

Premier League Primary Stars Kit Scheme Returns with 4,000 Free Nike Kits for Primary Schools.

This fantastic initiative, run in partnership with Nike, offers primary school teachers the opportunity to apply for free Nike football kit for their girls’ teams.

The Kit Scheme aims to encourage more young girls across England and Wales to participate in football by providing 4,000 free kits, building upon the 7,000 free football kits that have already been given away via the Premier League Primary Stars schools programme since 2017.

The programme supports teachers with free, downloadable, curriculum-linked resource packs and activities across PE, PSHE, Maths and English. To date, more than 18,700 primary schools across England and Wales have taken part in Primary Stars.

This Premier League announcement follows a year of increased support for girls’ football with brands such as Starling Bank launching their Kick On scheme and Just Eat with the 101 programme.

By providing free football kits to primary schools, the scheme is making it easier for teachers to set up girls’ football teams and give more girls the opportunity to get involved in the sport.

Gift of Kit is proud to support grassroots sport, and we think that the Premier League Primary Stars Kit Scheme is a fantastic initiative that will help to encourage more young girls to get involved in football.
