From glory to grassroots, Starling and Gift of Kit are helping to grow the women and girl’s football community. We’re on a mission to help women and girls gain confidence, life skills and a sense of community, through grassroots football.

After launching Kick On, we received an incredible 1,000 applications. Now, Kick On is back – featuring more of what you need. Since learning about your challenges and how we can help, we now include sports bras in the kit packs.

Kick On provides grassroots clubs, schools and volunteers with free resources to take a club to the next level

To help reduce costs for grassroots clubs and get more women and girls in the game, Starling launched its ‘Kick On with Starling’ initiative earlier this year. Developed in partnership with Gift of Kit, the initiative began by giving £200,000 worth of kit, equipment and coaching vouchers to grassroots football clubs that either have an existing women’s or girl’s team or are creating a pathway to get more women and girls involved.

A new round support for women and girls’ teams

Following the Lionesses’ success at the UEFA Women’s EUROS 2022, and the launch of Starling Bank’s Kick On initiative earlier this year, alongside the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, We’ve launched phase two of Kick On to help boost girls’ involvement in football. Kick On is giving away a further £200,000 worth of kit, equipment and coaching vouchers to grassroots football clubs with girls or women’s teams.

One team will win a talk with Jill Scott MBE on how young girls can gain their football confidence and believe their worth on the pitch.
