Game-Changer Programme Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1/7/25

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Gift of Kit Brand Partnership Grant Programme (the “Programme”). By submitting an application, each applicant confirms they have read and agree to these Terms and to the Gift of Kit Privacy Notice (www.giftofkit.com/privacy-policy). Company information is taken from our recent programme terms.

Promoter: Kit For Sport Ltd (trading as Gift of Kit), Unit 7, Gate Farm, Sutton Benger, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN11 8FR, registered in England & Wales No. 10425917. Contact: helpdesk@giftofkit.com.

Important: This is not a prize draw, lottery, sweepstake or game of chance. Awards are discretionary and made following a judged assessment by Gift of Kit’s selection panel against the criteria set out below.

1. Programme summary

The Programme invites eligible UK brands (and agencies acting for brands) to apply for an in-kind grant (the “Award”) consisting of a managed grassroots sponsorship delivered by Gift of Kit (kits, fulfilment, PR/social support) and Veo Go match-capture support for participating clubs, to generate measurable community and brand impact. The Award is in-kind only (no cash alternative).

2. Application window

Applications open on 25/9/2025 and remain open until the earlier of: (i) the Award being made; or (ii) 25/9/2026. Gift of Kit may, at its discretion, make no Award and close the Programme if applications do not sufficiently meet our standards.

3. Eligibility

3.1 Who may apply.

  • UK-based brands/advertisers or agencies entering on behalf of a consumer-facing brand.
  • The applicant must be represented by an adult (18+) with authority to bind the brand and grant rights in brand assets.

3.2 Brand asset rights. Applicants must hold (or have secured) the rights/permissions to use the brand’s trade marks, logos and other brand assets on kits and in Programme publicity/materials.

3.3 Not eligible. Employees/contractors of Gift of Kit (and delivery partners), their household members, and anyone professionally involved in administering the Programme. Gift of Kit may request evidence of eligibility/authority at any time.

4. How to apply

Submit the online application at https://giftofkit.com/game-changer during the Application Window with all required details (brand, contact, industry, UK focus confirmations) and short responses aligned to the selection criteria. One application per brand (agencies may apply for multiple client brands if authorised). Automated/bulk submissions are not permitted.

5. The Award (in-kind grant)

Subject to these Terms, one brand (the “Awardee”) will receive the following in-kind support (scope finalised at briefing):

  • Gift of Kit sponsorship delivery
    • Up to 5 fully designed & produced team kits (sport agreed with Awardee) with brand integration.
    • Distribution/fulfilment managed by Gift of Kit.
    • PR & social amplification to support promotion of the awarded campaign and continued storytelling post campaign.
    • Post-campaign impact survey aligned to agreed KPIs.

The full campaign scope can be accessed by emailing helpdesk@giftofkit.com

  • Veo Go enablement
    • Up to 5 Veo Go packages allocated alongside the kits to enable match recording/analysis and highlight creation by participating clubs. (Use may be subject to Veo’s own terms.)

No cash alternative.

6. Selection & Award decision (discretionary, judged)

6.1 Judged assessment. A selection panel (Gift of Kit and partner representatives as relevant) will assess applications against the Programme criteria below and make a discretionary Award. There is no random draw. Panel decisions are final.

6.2 Assessment criteria.

  • Audience fit – Alignment between the brand’s UK audience and grassroots reach.
  • Community connection – Clear motivation to support local sport.
  • Activation intent – Credible plan to amplify the story (including responsible use of Veo-enabled content).
  • Impact potential – Likely positive outcomes for clubs/communities and the brand.

6.3 Conflicts & fairness. The panel may exclude any application where a conflict of interest exists or where, in Gift of Kit’s reasonable view, the process could be compromised. Where appropriate, conflicted panelists will recuse.

6.4 No obligation. Gift of Kit may decline to make an Award if no application sufficiently meets the criteria or operational requirements (e.g., safeguarding, brand suitability). Practices of discretionary grant-makers commonly reserve rights to withhold or withdraw awards where necessary.

Applications are assessed by a panel against the published criteria (Audience fit, Community connection, Activation intent, Impact potential). The panel may, at its discretion, make no award if applications do not sufficiently meet our standards. At least one panel member will be independent. Panel decisions are final.

7. Notification, acceptance & set-up

7.1 Notification. Gift of Kit will contact the selected Awardee using the details provided. The Awardee is responsible for monitoring their inbox (including junk folders).

7.2 Acceptance & briefing. The Awardee must confirm acceptance and attend a brand briefing. Failure to accept/attend may result in withdrawal and selection of an alternative application.

7.3 Delivery timeline. Following briefing, Gift of Kit will manage kit design/production, distribution, Veo enablement and PR/social activation to an agreed plan.

8. Awardee obligations

The Awardee agrees to:

  • Provide brand assets (logos, guidelines) and confirm rights/permissions;
  • Nominate or collaborate on participating grassroots clubs (or allow Gift of Kit to facilitate nominations/selection);
  • Participate in reasonable PR, content capture and social activity, including being named in announcements;
  • Secure internal approvals promptly and engage in good faith to meet agreed timelines;
  • Comply with applicable laws, safeguarding and consent requirements for any minors featured in content.

9. Veo Go & third-party terms

Provision and use of Veo devices/software may be subject to Veo’s separate terms of service and acceptable use policies. The Awardee and participating clubs agree to comply with such terms where applicable.

10. Variation, suspension, termination

Gift of Kit may vary, suspend or terminate the Programme or an Award (in whole or part) if reasonably necessary, including for legal/regulatory reasons, material breach of these Terms, misuse of assets, or events beyond reasonable control. This mirrors standard grant conditions (e.g., funders reserving rights to suspend/terminate or require adjustments).

11. Liability

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to the foregoing, Gift of Kit is not liable for: (i) losses not caused by its breach; (ii) events beyond its reasonable control; (iii) loss of profits/revenue, anticipated savings or goodwill. (Comparable liability clauses appear in both grant and programme terms across the sector.)

12. Data protection

Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Gift of Kit Privacy Notice for the purposes of administering and publicising the Programme as described in these Terms.

13. General

14.1 If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in force.
14.2 These Terms prevail over any conflicting programme materials.
14.3 No assignment or transfer of the Award by the Awardee.
14.4 No partnership or agency is created by the Award.

14. Governing law

These Terms and the Programme are governed by English law. Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except residents of Scotland may bring proceedings in Scotland.
